Waiting in line
Marking my time
For the boss man
To come around
With his sheet
To say if you'll work
Or not today.
The sun peeks out
Its heavy head
Burning the concrete,
Hot on my brain.
Waiting for the day
To begin.
Standing in line
Marking my time.
Will it be my turn today
To make a buck or two?
What to do?
