In warm Florida afternoons
Clouds hang heavy in blue skies.
Heat so hot, to just make you swoon,
The waves shimmer, and oh, the flies.

Then a soft, cool wind lifts
The Spanish moss of oak trees.
A quiet rain shower, a gift.
A warm Florida afternoon breeze.
