How long did Rapunzel wait? by Angela ThomasYour words still don't seem real to me. I don't know
how to process what you said, so I just kept asking
the same questions, hoping that maybe the answer
would suddenly change. I may as well have been
checking yesterday's lotto numbers praying that mine
had somehow morphed into something different,
something that didn't hurt quite so badly. I sat at
Firty Seven, Fifty Seven, the trendy bar at the Four
Seasons and I thought to myself, "This space is amazing.
I hope that my husband and I could stay in a place
like this one day." You must have been sitting somewhere
in the bible belt of Northern Florida thinking to yourself,
"How am I going to tell her that she's not the one
and I'm not going to stay with her." Our lives are a lot
like this city that I live in...we're both going about them
in totally seperate ways and although we seem terribly
connected because of the things that we share, we're
really nothing but stangers sharing a subway bench,
a spot in the line at the deli, and a dream that doesn't
exactly have that fairy tale ending I was hoping for. 03/19/2006 Posted on 03/20/2006 Copyright © 2025 Angela Thomas
