"Wait!" I cried, "wait for me!"
She walked away so quickly,
Out of sight, but not out of mind.
On the surface she was so very beautiful
Until that moment when she came into full view.
(And also into such a full bloom).
"Look," I thought, "look at that!"
Could I hold you but for a moment?
She walked, no, bounced away from me
So fast I was left breathless
In my urbane attempt to catch up to her.
"Wait!" I cried, "wait for me!"
