No Tomorrow

by Joan Serratelli

You always say
"tomorrow"
but tomorrow
never comes

Why can't you,
just for once
tell the truth and
say "never"

You say
you love me
You say you care
so why lie

Today is here
"tomorrow"
never arrives
We only have "today"

because "tomorrow"
is just a dream
that only exists
in your mind

This is true on so many levels! Really good.
