He faces death every minute by Ronald A PavellasHe faces death every minute, every second, continuously
Cancer!
What dreadful vibrations course through you
As you contemplate this possibilty for yourself?
I just talked with him
He is a happy man
He has many things to do
And he is doing them
Tasting them in full
He is taking charge of his life
He is loving his family and friends
He is teaching us that life is precious
He is telling us, by example
More than all the poets and philosophers
Therefore this ertswhile poet
Shuts up
And basks in the glow
Of Ken, his son-in-law
Giving silent thanks
To his gifts of soul and spirit

Wow, that really says it all. So true about someone in this situation. That's a wonderful line. |
