eventide by Peter Humphreysdark
vaulted
pew
haltered
candlelit
cloister
low
words spoken
vows broken
winter winds
do blow
you caught me
I sought thee
candle lights
do glow
tenderly
starkly
blue
eyes sparkling
lights darkening
eventide
aglow
I held
thee
you kissed
me
deeply
deeply
slow

Posted by Mara Meade on 03/04/06 at 11:07 PM Amazing how, when even the shadows deepen, we find light in unexpected places... even places where not long before we would have never dremt of going.
I especially like the "spirituality", the depth and dimension of this; the idea of cathedral halls, chandeliers with candles, pews, and the feeling of quiet (cloister). It speaks more to the soul than to the mind. |
