She's mad, he's mad
they sleep
in different rooms
They lie awake
they watch tv
they don't talk
at all

She wakes, he wakes
they advert their eyes
each one not wanting
to be the one
to speak first

It goes on
for a while
until their silence
is broke
something silly
brings them back

Life goes on
they speak again
about inconsequential things
He laughs, she smiles
together again
until it starts once more
