It Rained That Day by James ZealyIt rained that day
While we drove, pitched papers
From the rear hatch of an '84 Renault
Wind and rain blinded
While we laughed at the silliness
Bereft of sense about the storm
As it ripped trees up behind us
Swirled pets howling off the ground
Landed trees on houses
And we played in the pouring storm
Ignorant of the danger
Threw papers where ever
Fun at natures expense
And our good fortune. 02/23/2006 Posted on 02/23/2006 Copyright © 2024 James Zealy
