I See Myself in Blue

Lost behind my window
I see myself in blue
Stained by this sadness
My thoughts are all of you
Reflections of my past
Mirrors in my mind
Images that last
Dreams that remind
Days that are numbered
The loss of precious time
All these wasted years
Alone in my mind
My windows painted black
My life is lost to time
Ill never get it back
Ive been left behind
Clouds burst in my eyes
Falling tears of you
I wade in pools of sorrows
I see myself in blue

And it reminds me of when my little girl was afraid "the animals were looking in the window" in the middle of the night. I was so tired, (we were painting the house at the time) so I took some (waterbase) paint...she went to sleep then. Maybe that is your next painting...
and painted her window pink!!! |
