Some Thoughts On Fate

by Shayla R Cakes

If fate is real
And everything that has happened was bound to happen anyway
Was bound to have this sort of impact
Who's sick idea was it to pick me to be -that girl-

Although I wouldn't trade a single second for anything
Except maybe another second....a second to say goodbye
Who decided that I had to be me, had to be in my shoes
With these feelings and experienced between us under my belt
(Mainly because he never wore a belt)
That had to handle being me

It's a tough egg to fry,
And I don't know if my pan is large enough.
Maybe I don't have the brain power to process this
Or anything..

But I do know this
Someone out there knew this was coming
And that someone is either aching to see me fail
Or has a lot more faith in me than I do.

This was so well put-together. I loved it from the beginning to the end. Congrats on POTD.
