Steel

by Richard Vince

Guide my hands
To where the sunlight always is
Where I can watch the Sun
Rising and setting
Until I am old

Walk around the moon
With flames in your eyes
White fire that drowns with latex precision

That steely blue stare is always there
And I will never escape
And neither will you

You have always cut across boundaries in your poetry. This on is no exception. I don't know whether it is tragic or speaks a simple truth... which is why I appreciate it so much.

Intense images but the tone is one that seems almost patient. Enjoyed this, Richard.

Definitely agreeing with Gregory up there. Glad to see you on the top rated member's list, you're definitely one of mine! This poem is so beautifully placid, I adore it.
