I wish I could write
poetry
that made everyone
stop
and say
"Wow,
why do you feel
so alone?"

I wish I could write
letters
for you
that would make
your heart stop,
your laugh descend
and your mouth
press into mine.
Instead of you just smiling
and saying
"Gee, thanks but
no thanks,"
you'd actually
just stare into
me
and feel.

I wish I could write
papers
in a millisecond.
Stop wasting my life.

I wish I could write
and make someone
actually care
instead of just
being there.
