i see their heartache, they don't see mine

by Charlie Morgan

she's single, mom of two;
babys' daddy is gone
from their faces,
not their heart.

he's making babies elsewhere,
the entire orb his domain;
his sperm receptacles
are the faceless others.

she's trying to focus
on the invisible
while she understands less
of the visual she sees.

making change with a gypsy
is her lot in life;
and she misses the slight of hand,
gets the incorrect amount in return.

Charlie, superb title here, and poem. Doesn't it seem that some people think only intellect counts; knowing how to solve problems, knowing how to get by, knowing how to identify an advantage, and seize it. But the functions of intellect are proven insufficient without courage, love, friendship, compassion and empathy. Great read and write, added to my favs.
