screams mean nothing by Michele Schottelkorbwhy dont you see me
why dont you feel me?
~~J. Napolitano
marble face cracks slightly
when all hell breaks free
until one day, madness,
the terrible façade, crumbles
psychosis falls beneath
a fury of stardust
voice screams bloody murder
but you arent listening.
you understand, but this isnt
your demon
so,
you dont
understand.
you dont see me
the now me
the wailing wall me
thats broken
flowing
swishswashing down to
the perfect storm.
its been just a lifetime
and im here, screaming
for my fucking life.
why dont you hear me?

Posted by Sarah Graves on 02/02/06 at 02:28 AM Yes, I feel you on this.. at least in my own way, I do. People often say they relate, but they can never relate to a situation completely.. and can only be empathetic. I know for me, sometimes I want them to do more than hear.. to listen, to understand my pain.. these vices that ache us. Really good read Michele. |
