Crack Down

by Charles E Minshall

There's a place in our sidewalk
That has an awful crack,
Things that fall in there
Never do come back.

China might be deep down there
A place where they have tongs,
I was listening at the crack
And I think I heard  some  gongs.

Tomorrow I'll fill that crack
I've really had enough,
I'll fill it to the top
I'm tired of losing stuff.

Oh yeah, I'm tired of losing stuff, too. So cleverly put...

oh please, though...before you fill that crack - will you tape record the gongs? Like Lori, I like the idea of them too! delightfully fun! él jill
