I am Michele's Piece of Soot by Michele SchottelkorbI testify on your nonchalant behalf
when you smile, your eyes give you away
and I seem
to waste precious moments
trying to figure out my motive for caring
there are those who say
a person cannot change
unless they want to
when you forever put yourself before others
the world slowly fades to gray
I am charcoal.
01/16/2006 Author's Note: the title is in the spirit of "Fight Club"... this is the first poem i have written in a very long time...

Posted by Krystall Vega on 01/17/06 at 04:51 PM I definitely clicked on this because of the Fight Club reference :) And this reminds me of my style in a way. I enjoyed this. |
