Radio Moscow (The Voice Of Freedom Series)

by Jersey D Gibson

Red squares cover red grounds,
blood flow like water and wine.
Who knows the mass grave sites,
where they are, where they're buried?

The machine running on wholesale slaughter,
gets fed on a daily basis.
The machine running on murder and lies,
gets fed on a hourly basis.

Say the right things at the right places,
earn yourself another day of oppression.
Do the same thing at the same time,
cheer on the one-party system's election.

The machine running on pain and misery,
gets fed at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The machine running on suffering and agony,
gets fed during the break times, too.

Free your voice, free your mind,
this is the last free voice of the city.
Free your heart, free your soul,
tune into Radio Moscow.

Red revolution, green to go,
the workers clash arms once again.
They turn on the sickle, on the hammer,
the polititarian speak out their rights.

The machine running on communism,
has a monkey wrench in the works.
The machine running for The State,
has a broken gear in the works.

Rise to fight, rise to power,
rise against those who hold you down.
Break out of chains that never held you down,
grinded against the dirt for the longest times.

The machine running off the worker's sweat,
people shouldn't fear their governments.
The machine running off broken dreams,
governments should fear their people.

Free your voice, free your mind,
this is the last free voice of the city.
Free your heart, free your soul,
tune into Radio Moscow.

I -really- like this poem. One of my favourites I've read of yours. You have really awesome powerful lines in here "Free your voice, free your mind, this is the last free voice of the city." That's probably my favourite, but I can go and pick out lots of other ones if I needed. It could be spruced up a little bit, but the meaning and the majority of the lines are perfect, very nice. Actually, "Break out of chains that never held you down," I like that line too much not to mention, also.
