My daily rituals
Give my day structure
On a planet
Spinning through space,
Making morning coffee
Is my first
Daily ritual,
Still half awake
The coffee gets made
Then the day can start,
There are other rituals
Like shaving
Deciding what to wear
Listening to the weather report
Taking a vitamin pill,
Every ritual
Moves the day along
I won't trivialize them
By calling them habits
Even though they are
Since they
Give my day structure
On a planet
Spinning through space.
