he's watching me again by Wendy GealIt is constant, the spiraling glare
In peripheral vision that
Sends me flying thirty feet in the air
I relax when my eyes peer up
Into empty incandescent lights
I am calm and smooth as a cup of cold water
For years I've feared your silhouette,
Malicious and gorgeously ravenous, quite perilous.
I am copying sentences from nightmares
One vicious rune falls from your lips, coral-pure
and I am struck.
I will rest easier when I know you are dead 01/10/2006 Posted on 01/10/2006 Copyright © 2025 Wendy Geal
