If I push myself far enough
into literary corners,
the world will see
I inhale fraudulently,
expiring fictitious air,
pregnant with artificiality.

But there is truth to be found
in the sonority of a penny drop,
the unexpected and uninvited
revolution of the wheel -
there is honesty in the squeeze
of momentary insanity.
