hidden in shadowed circles
of crab apple orchards

charcoal blue
sepia brown
the limited palette
of this gross ghost town

trucks and bullet riddled bucks

back to morbid Winter melodies

seclusion was granted
and underestimated solitude
may shift into serenity.
