You Push Me Away

by Joan Serratelli

You push me away
You holler, you yell
You snit, you critisize
You think I'm inept

You don't love me
You never really did
I don't know why you're here

But here you stay
You'll never leave
I'm your bad habit
one you can't break

You say that you love me
but you lack respect
for who I am
and what I do

I'll always love you
my problem; not yours
I'll put up with
your putting me down

I'm the stupid one
not you
You get what you want
I never do

Joan, you have quite a bit of energy flowing here. I im'd you a suggested revision. Take only what you need - leave the rest.
