The Green Lady by Nicole AssenzaThe green lady smiles on the inside
Her black amusements
Include
The tearing of paper-thin hopes
My jealousy is beautiful
With wild emerald eyes
Her laugh a sickly ooze
From the cauldron of despair
Inflicted with leprosy
Of the heart
The green lady
Who used to be
Known
As
Love

| Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 12/28/05 at 07:37 PM I wish I could bottle the essence of those that quite nearly write themselves....and use it when I'm sitting, dead-minded at 3:14 AM. Spontinaity shows here! |
