Moments of Me and You

by Rebecca Lin

There are moments you can feel them-
touch them
and breath their existence.
Sometimes I forget they happen,
but then I’m somehow reminded…
like listening to songs with you
at your house,
watching movies-
the great actor who was murdered
and the woman who washed his blood from the bathtub.
Times we laughed,
Instances we cried-
I can’t forget.
And even the slightest whisper of elegance
or finding that belonging place,
I recall moments of me and you.
Our friendship, everlasting
as time bids us ado.
