Come Home for Christmas Little Muse

by Mary Ellen Smith

I will steep some tea and let you chew on the cinnamon stick.

Come home and out of the snow.

We will call a truce.

I will put away my pen and you can promise not to spit on me.

And one more thing, if you promise not to chew on the cat

You can sleep inside.

Hee hee... she can sleep over at my house the following night. I love this - very wry - "chew on the cat", indeed! d:-)
