A story about the glory (of my past)

by Frank Lee

i got a haircut, a job, and soonafter
laid.
Never really ready to settle down,
I thought maybe she could be different because
I tried calling her later that same day.
(but she never answered)

Something strange about the way we woke up,
in her messy room with the big pink dildo and the half drank cup
of wine on the floor.
'i'm so embarassed' she screeched,
as she reached
over and i noticed it for the first time.

it was sweet how we could just laugh it off
and continue soft
kisses and conversation
void of hesitation.

I can't hold it against her,
who doesn't love a woman with imagination?
she wasnt afraid to walk across the room,
naked,

change her radio to guns n' roses 'patience'
and hide her toy in a drawer in her desk.
and just clean up the rest of the mess
that was her room.

She wasnt expecting company,
but everything felt natural and funny
and i thought that thats all that really
matters to me.

especially later, thinking back, about
when she got out of the shower
and didnt think twice before she devoured
me.

and we rolled around until we fell off the bed
lightly bumping our heads
and landing exactly where we woke up.
(smashing the half drank wine cup)
