The woman was drawn
to promises of salvation.
Evangelists said their gods were false-
just wood and stone.

He thought the world
would be at peace
without any religion.
Perhaps he was on the right track.

Talk about afterlife.
I sure as hell will believe
in something.
Just my thoughts keep drifting...
I wonder;
Are they right?
Are you right?
Maybe I'm right,
but I'm probably not.

The woman was drawn
to promises of salvation
in the midst of so-called sanctuaries,
life and death.
That was quite enough.

Author's Note: I don't know... there's confusion in my head when I think about all religions... this was also inspired by reading the book Things Fall Apart. My thoughts start to entangle... my beliefs are widely believed and also my own. -shrugs-
