Corruptor by Jersey D GibsonPardon me while I extracate myself;
forms against reality
peace against duality
trail against humanity
Pardon me while I cut out the rot;
exorcize my demons
exonerate my devils
experate my soul
The sun sets on these pair of lonely eyes,
filled with tears of memories long gone.
The moon rises with the hopes of the shattered,
when will the pieces be glued back together again?
The soul that sighs
or time that dies
willows that cries;
everything I've done has been for naught.
The pain that lasts
the stain that past
the bane that fasts;
I pray for silence and await the worst for me.
The wind blows eddies over the cracks of my soul,
healing is so slow when you pick at the scars.
Time heals nothing when you're on the road to nowhere,
figments of your imagination is your rule in hell.

Posted by Tom Goss on 12/19/05 at 07:47 PM I love the italicised 2 stanzas, and in my opinion this is the heart of the poem. Perhaps the last line could be more clear, but may just be me. Well done. |
