The Son Still Shines At Christmas

by Charles M Harrison

The wind will blow
the cold winter snow
The Son still shines at Christmas.

Hear the red, kettle bell ring
and know, joy it will bring.
Choirs of children caroling
with joy they sing, sing, sing.
The Son still shines at Christmas.

An open door in the cold night
the homeless there can find light.
Here are helpers who do whatÂ’s right
to ease the struggle of their daily fight.
The Son still shines at Christmas.

A Christmas tree full of names
poor children, hoping for toys or games,
coats, hats and even small trains.
Some will even dream of planes.
The Son still shines at Christmas.

Families with so much to share
helping others with love and care.
Easing the burdens that others bear
the love of Christmas is every where.
The Son still shines at Christmas.

Hearts are warm on Christmas night
for they are filled up with the light.
A child was born long past from site
to wrap us in his love so tight.
The Son still shines at Christmas.

His breathe still blows
and His love still glows
the Son still shines at Christmas.
