Take a Breath by Kim BennettIn a world consumed by decadence
The "fall" will sound as silent
As one drop of rain resonating <
In a flood followed by thunder.
A fantastical dream, a wish, for truth to be
A demon's walk down a blazing boulevard.
More-so than the aerial paradise
Which has but a limited guest list.
A prayer for flare,
Rather than a tragedy of oblivion.
Certainty of sin crushes romance
Of loving the King of the castle in the sky.
Sin excuses human nature
Forgiveness excuses inhuman behavior.
Focus of false perfection of a fantasy world
Steals dreams of reality.
A prayer to humanity:
Close your eyes,
Perhaps in darkness you'll see in a different light.
To imagine reality, you must first
Take a breath and inhale logic.
