The most poetic lines I hear
Roll right from your heart and off your tongue
Without your realization of what you mean to me:

"Dear love of my life..."
"You're so beautiful when you sleep"
"I like to touch all parts of you"

And the strange look of glee you still give me
When you see me in my underwear
For the tenth year in a row
Is shrugged off in mock annoyance
Only to be recalled with my secret smile in solitude.
