Queen of Fools

by Sahar Rahim

It seems I'll never win this war
At the end of it all
You stand up taller
I'll open the door and you'll walk through
King of Truth

In the dead of the night
While everyone else is asleep
You'll open up to me
Tell me your wildest dreams
During the day
I'm a servant lost among the people
You'll simply ignore me

Is it true your majesty
That you know all
Am I doomed for life to fall
In love with a man who will use and abuse me
Is there no real mystery?

You can take what you want
Leave me a begger and poor
In the end of it all
No matter what I learn
You'll come back knocking on my door

Oh King of Truth
Wiser than us all
What is it you want
What more can I give
I show weakness you pity me
I show strength and you shy away
Tell me please King of Truth
What more can you take
From the Queen of Fools

I must agree. This piece is very powerful. It shows respect for a more powerful force. You are not doomed to fail. You are on the right path. Just follow your heart. Congrats on POTD! Well deserved. Everyone should read this piece.
