Romantic Languages by Nicole AssenzaIm still your greatest trend;
Your last spool of thread,
And your late night TV,
Im Johnny Carson for
Some mild samuser or
The je ne sais quoi talks,
You change the channel,
But Im still hooked on,
So tune in tonight and
Dont give your time to strangers,
When Im stuck in the web,
Twirled in the whirl,
Caught by your spell;
So charmed, I am sure,
That Ive wished you were dead,
And still wish you well,
Its all my own design,
Dont you ever mind?
Please deserve my adoration,
You spark my fascination,
Mais je ne comprends pas;
This being parted, broken-hearted,
So, lets-to the hidden pine trails of the forest,
And run across the night,
To find your buried heart,
Because Im your happy end;
Your good-luck-good-bye,
Heres to all the sighing,
Signing Im still yours, truly
My hate is fine like wine,
Aging in Juliets Italian marble tomb,
Starcrissd or crossd. Mon Dieu
Im your Mary Full of Grace,
Repentance just asks ten hail-mes
For I know that you are rich,
You cant buy this absolution,
I need my pound of flesh
So feel the ocean in your eyes,
Those panes of shaded glass,
Youll cry yourself to sleep,
Be sleeping when you cry, Alas,
She drowned in the Atlantic
Sad, that, shes still swimming,
And times just carried on,
Since 1912, and the hope diamonds lost
Into the deep killing blue,
A stealthy coup-de-grace that is still dying,
Bitter, I bite back the taste of this, au revoir
My favorite, tragedian,
Au de No One But You,
An expensive stain, it sticks to my skin,
That hated foreign perfume,
I wish I never knew

Posted by Steven Kenworthy on 12/01/05 at 03:37 PM i feel like you got the bad end of a selfish relationship. this is what i perceived after reading you piece here...it's strong from start to finish. there are times where i say to myself, how unrewarding for her...but you have to embrace the pain and frustration, write a poem about it all and get it off your chest. well done and the word choice, incredible. the french added a beautiful enigmatic touch. |
