Soul Silhouette

by JJ Johnson

Forgive and forget
Is a phrase I have used
You're certain you've won some twisted bet
But I'm afraid you have the facts confused
And you shouldn't count the payout yet
For trust isn't something to be abused
No my trust isn't something you should have abused

There is no regret
To be found within you
Wealth is all you know how to pursue
Though money can never repay your debt
So give from within, your payment's past due
Learn to stand tall without a safety net
It's time you were more than a dark silhouette

::: this entire poem is the freezing truth ::: the darkness expressed so deep and well ::: something I wish t' say to someone in particular, and just haven't the know-how... thank you, JJ Johnson. —Jill
