A luncheon that passed away

by Rebecca Lin

You left them too quickly
and I've heard the reasons why...
but still I am heartbroken
when I watch everyone cry.
Daughters without their mothers,
dying inside...
Their pain they could not handle
and so they left this place
to live forever with God,
love not going to waste.
Nothing I do will stop their pain
and weeping sinks into our routines.
So let's picture this,
a wonderful scene:
Glynnis and April
sipping tea,
in the white light
of a crystal night,
sharing stories
of how they touched us all.

Author's Note: I don't think the rhyming is me being uncreative... I just really wanted to say that... and I like to rhyme heh.

It was a lovely poem but I think it could easily have been much better if you hadn't insisted on rhyming. Regardless, it was very good poem, this is my favorite part: "Glynnis and April sipping tea, in the white light of a crystal night, sharing stories of how they touched us all."
