Traffic by Richard VinceAll natural light has departed
And the world is left to struggle
With artificial illumination
I watch your reflection...
Your sadness in glass
As you listen to music
And long for home
People come and people go
Lights fly ever past
But the emptiness stays...
Your light is my darkness
Your darkness my light
And your life is a traffic jam
So much promise, going nowhere
But with hope for better days
Scarf around your neck
To keep out the biting January wind
Hatred towards me
To keep out the danger
Of the unexplored road
Never close your mind
To any possibility
Never condemn
What you don't understand
And never be afraid
To take the road less travelled
On a road less travelled
You're less likely to get stuck in traffic
And that could make all the difference.
