topic: my body fails to go where my mind leads it

by Amanda L Marron

My comfort zone has been invaded
My safety net taken

…without my consent…

You calmed me
Took away all my fears
Now I’m standing on this tight rope looking straight down
At all my hopes and dreams for us slowly sinking away

Amanda, I can feel your pain through your words. And maybe in some ways, it could relate, although not directly to other situations. I like what you did with the topic and hope it helped you in some small measure.

I like that the final stanza isn't what we expect after reading the first, that the invasion of your space led to calm. However, while the shortness is nice and attention-catching, I think it could stand to be a tad more descriptive. Still, lovely work.
