Happy by David BaumanWhat if, a compromise?
To avoid what you despise,
and stares at you with hateful eyes?
Is that what it means to be happy?
What if, a simple plan?
To be fine with what you can,
or live, just not as man.
Is that what it means to be happy?
I say right now
all these things
in the hopes I find
a pair of wings
to free myself
from the chains that bind
and soar.
Until I'm happy. 11/15/2005 Posted on 11/16/2005 Copyright © 2026 David Bauman
