Where To Begin by Sahar RahimDo you know what you've done?
Do you see it now?
Should I stand on a box so you'll hear my words?
Do I write it all down so you can learn in the comfort of your home?
You ask me.
What went wrong?
::deep breath::
The nights we stayed up late
We talked about what the future held
And we promised that no matter what
We'd always be friends
Then something happened along the way
You began to ignore me
I became a fixture in your life
Like a lamp post you'd flick on when you were in need
When we were out with people
At first I was your joy
You'd tell everyone how lucky you were
Then I realized I was just a toy
A prized possession is all I came to be
I was simply your number one trophy
You'd talk about your good friends
You'd introduce me to them
But whenever my friends came to visit
You'd find a reason to leave
How do you tell someone you love them
Then turn around and push them away
What makes my loving you
A reason to disrespect who I am
You tell me I complain too much
I just love the drama in life
But I think it was pretty sensible
When you broke my heart
So that's it in a nut shell
I could give a million examples
But I want you to know this one thing
We didn't go wrong
You did 11/11/2005 Posted on 11/11/2005 Copyright © 2026 Sahar Rahim
