"Dance With Me"

by Max Phineas

Sweet tunes carry me to the floor
You chuckle from your seat, intent on remaining there.

Come dance with me.

Rhythms course through my veins-
Who needs blood, anyway?

No one's watching
So let's go, go, go!

Shuffling back to you
Extending my hand
Leading you off to the wooden floor
of my living room.

Our hearts pressed together
Creating a new rhythm.

Keep dancing.
No one's watching.

Author's Note: I've decided I don't like it. I had inspiration at first but it leaked out of my ears before I could type it.

"I had inspiration at first but it leaked out of my ears before I could type it." ha I know that feeling a little too well. Love poems, I think, are the hardest to write. I think this is sweet, I really like "Rhythms course through my veins- Who needs blood, anyway?" The genre isn't really my cup of tea though, but I don't think it's a bad write.

i know the feeling. it's so disappointing when a brilliant just leaks out. but this isn't so bad. so don't get down on yourself about it :)
