tongue on a light bulb

by Frankie Sanchez

tongue on a light bulb casting light down my throat,
into the cave that is temporary home to my soul,
the place where i breathe, cycle blood, and deceive,
the place where i pine, lie, and turn blood into wine,

matters of the heart can be the hardest to relieve,
but shining a little light on the subject
can be the easiest cure and the fastest relief,

so that's why i'm here with my tongue to your ear,
i've got an admission to emit into the atmosphere
of your mind, your heart, your willingness to hear,
and the light bulb turns on when you get the idea.
