frantic tranquility

by Charlie Morgan

at the dawning of a rising
is the clamor of novelty--change.
scimitar swords slice away
at gemini demons: comfort, ease.

and even in one existence
granted only is birth,
life, death--days between
that we soldierly pace.

left scathed and abraded
the human soul is still
recrudescent with needs
and unrequieted yearns.

mere universal space cadets
we fly on this big blue ball,
where our significance is found
in instinctive self-discovery.

Author's Note: title from terry O. and the idea was a, uhh vicarious compilation of concept-tossing...so the title kudos go to him, the bah-humbugs for the bad writing go to me...
