Understanding My Thoughts

Words would come to me
From some deep part of myself
And jump out onto the page
And maybe, about three or four times a month
Something that I had written
Might actually be good
And then, about a year ago
The wheels stopped turning as quickly
And since that point
There have been four definite pieces that were intensely bad
So this one is statistically likely to be better
But even if it's not
I find that if I write more often
I'm bound to actually compose something intelligible
Maybe even clever
And if I keep doing it
The words dance to my choreography
In perfect time with my desires
Connoting precisely what I've decided
And filling me with a thorough sense of
Understanding
Knowing exactly what was going on in my mind
And being able to relate it to another
Using tools with which I am most adept
