Six months, one week, and one day too long
And certain...things won't go away
Mostly internal, but some from other sources
Like the misconceptions of what was his
And who was his
And to whom whom belongs to
Last I checked, I belonged to myself and the music
And areas of my life have become a casualty
Of a common misconception of what was
I think it's unfair that people choose to, ultimately
Make choices for me
Because they don't want to make a dead man angry.

Author's Note: I don't want to sound insensitive towards Bryan, and I don't think I am...but we break up and, with the exception of a few people who he forbade from persuing me, I'm fair game, but he dies after we break up and suddenly I'm his possession. Newsflash, people, we were never "officially" together, because we didn't need to be.
