My lovely lady is an angel to me
She has shown me trust and honesty
Like I have never seen it before
And it's true, I have never seen it before

I have survived the torment of love betrayed
Fallen to depths that left my heart afraid
Yet she has managed to erase my doubts
And brought to once teard eyes the moisture of droughts

She too has endured pain from a broken heart
Seduced by lust from a poison dart
First thought to have flown from Cupid's bow
But surely it soared from the darkness below

I can't imagine with the love she gives
That a finer girl on this world lives
In spite of the pain she has suffered
She has caressed the passion I have offered

Time healed old wounds and desire flowed into my life
Perhaps one day she will be my wife
But for now she'll remain my girlfriend
And each of love's struggles ahead we will transcend
