access to the long fields [one]

by Joseff Marat

they gather in the central plains
these... carbon based lifeforms
digital children; silent; running
through hydroponic gardens

the first movement at the epicentre
the exosphere of some artificial island
like scripture, a refraction of the mind
acts as a neurotransmitter for proverb

between distances; aftermath.
the rain geometries cast water silence
synetric lights in the indigo room
evaporate time circles upon the grounds around

at the outlined surfaces of moontown
a skyclad haze lies in the shouting valley
exposure to opalin in the sub morning
cities update overloads the network

Author's Note: Based on the music of Aes Dana, Solar Fields (collectively they are H.U.V.A. Network), and Carbon Based Lifeforms. I've picked up the names of their songs as terms in phrases spoken - so when I began writing this I decided that I use their terms so much, that I should just go all out. I used a few albums to create this. It's by no means good, but interesting if you actually think about the combination of song titles/terms. When put together they make a very interesting sci-fi moontown scene. At some point I realized that it was a bit ridiculous to just use the song titles at in every verse - but it was much too late. I like the image it paints.

This poem reminds me of airplane signals on the towers at night and in cornfields. Knowing nothing of the music you speak. It is very lyrical and mysterious.
