Reaching for Myself by Alison McKenzieI reach out to caress your face,
Our eyes locking for a moment without boundaries.
The clocks have all stopped ticking.
I am suspended in this sacred space
Of All that Is,
And All that Is in between.
My thoughts manifest in vibration
To merge with their reflections -
Cousins, aunts, brothers and sisters -
Along the gentle genetic highway of being;
One family in the planetary cosmos
Of universal union.
My energy dances into yours,
Elevating us together,
A flight of ecstasy.
There is only the ever constant
Eternity of Now,
Such a harsh little word
That cannot adequately describe
Being.
Divinity's breath is sweet upon
My tingling vertebrae.
Supine, my awareness is erect.
I swim in our love,
Beyond this physical plane
Into the fairie realm of joy.
It is what I've created.
And where I live now,
Home at last in skin or without.
I am a goddess,
Grasping only the human explanation for my own divinity.
In loving myself,
It is above as it is below,
All experiences rising to their own occasion,
Balance of heaven and earth
So there is no separation at all... 10/14/2005 Posted on 10/14/2005 Copyright © 2025 Alison McKenzie
