inside and out

to just join together
to capture the dreams of people
like cupping water from the tap
to bring up to your face
it is not enough to just open your mouth
when you speak to people
who are so sincere for you
your entire being must become
like a gateway in which they walk through
it is not enough for vision
to be your only evidence of love
your heartlight must trace
like a firefly against the night sky
just slightly behind your eyes movements
to let them know you're really there
