Never The White by J. P. DaviesAs photographs fade,
the ever-advancing clock takes hold
destroying every sweetness
that ever dared crack the ice.
Perched upon the remnants,
denying their very existence,
seeing only the black
never the white,
and resolutely building back up
from the very bottom.
Until the clouds pass
the sun remains
inextricably tied to you. 10/10/2005 Posted on 10/11/2005 Copyright © 2024 J. P. Davies
